Why We're Building Official Golfing
Official Golfing started with three of us who have lived different parts of the game: on the course, in operations, and around the people keeping golf clubs moving every day. Between greenkeeping realities and player expectations, we all kept landing on the same conclusion: the current software options in golf are nowhere near good enough.
Golf software is behind where the game is today
Most club apps we have seen are clunky, hard to use, and expensive for what they actually deliver. The UI feels dated, key workflows take too many steps, and basic functionality often creates more admin than it removes.
Players expect speed and simplicity. Staff need reliability and clear control. Too many products miss both. That gap is exactly why we are building Official Golfing.
We're not here to copy the market - we're here to reset it
We are building Official Golfing to smash apart the outdated standard and deliver real value to real players and real clubs. That means product decisions grounded in day-to-day golf life, not generic software templates.
Our focus is simple:
- Clean, modern interface that members and visitors can use instantly
- Core functionality that works properly the first time
- Tools that reduce club admin rather than adding to it
- Pricing that reflects value, not legacy vendor lock-in
Technology has moved on - golf club software should too
There is no reason clubs should still be forced into poor digital experiences. The technology now exists to build tools that are faster, clearer, and genuinely useful. Golf should have modern options, and clubs should not have to compromise.
Official Golfing is our answer: practical software built for the people who actually run and play the game.
What comes next
Official Golfing is coming to golf courses across the UK this year. We are building with urgency and intent, guided by one standard: if it does not improve everyday life at a golf club, it does not ship.
This is the beginning. We are here to raise the standard for golf technology and make sure clubs finally have an option worthy of the game.
